In order to honour the legacy of fashion designer and icon Karl Lagerfeld the Maison KARL LAGERFELD will introduce “A Tribute to Karl” - The White Shirt Project.
Curated by Carine Roitfeld the project will launch during Paris Fashion Week and support the “Sauver La Vie” charity initiative.
Creative minds within and out of the fashion industry like Cara Delevigne, Diane Kruger, Kate Moss, Amber Valletta, Lewis Hamilton, Tommy Hilfiger, Alessandro Michele, Takashi Murakami and many many more will design their very own interpretation of Karl’s iconic white shirt.
The final shirts will then be displayed at an exhibition at the Maison KARL LAGERFELD during Paris Fashion Week in September 2019. Seven of the final designs will replicated 77 times and sold for charity at a price of 777€ per piece (yes, the number 7 was Karl’ lucky number).
“When I think of Karl’s most iconic designs from his career, I always think of his white shirts”,
explains Carine Roitfeld. This tribute will truly honour his legacy and incorporate his unwavering love of fashion.
Bravo KARL LAGERFELD.
